What would help you build a good profile for admission at the UG level?

Stream to Choose at +2 level:

You may choose any stream at +2 level, preferably Commerce stream as the various subjects studied under commerce which would give you a better orientation towards a career in this field.

Subjects to focus:

Math, IT, Business Studies and Accountancy are important subjects in any field related to Commerce. Admissions may be based on entrance tests and may also consider marks secured at +2. Therefore it's important to prepare well in all subjects to score a good aggregate percentage.

Some skills to acquire:

Students of marketing and advertising require good research skills and critical thinking ability to be able to analyse the market always and take decisions. Good creative ability is also an important asset .

Minimum marks:

Generally 60% marks in aggregate is required for admission and higher cut offs may be expected at good institutions.

Nest Senior 1 Awarded based on a test conducted on the last sunday of January every year. 1st and 2nd year Medical students can apply for this scholarship. Students of class 12th can also apply. 10 or more scholarships of rupees 35000-75000 are provided.
Nest Senior 2 Awarded based on a the performance in the test conducted by NEST. 3rd and 4th year degree students can apply . 10 or more scholarships of rupees 40,000 - 1,00,000 are offered.
Sahu Jain Trust Loan Scholarship Interest free loan scholarships for graduate and post graduate programs. Scholarship amount ranges from 2,500 - 25000 per year.
Federal bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Scholarship Students should have secured admission under merit in Government/Aided and self-financing colleges during the same academic year. The annual family income of the applicant should be below Rs.3L. A total of 20 students from each discipline will be reimbursed 100% of their tuition fees.
Foundation for Excellence Scholarship Only first-year applicants of professional courses are eligible. The annual income of the family should be below 2.5 lakhs.
Mahabir Pratap Singh Foundation scholarship The scholarship is open to meritorious and deserving candidates studying or doing research in any branches in modern science. Each selected scholar will receive a sum of INR 3000 per month.
